i can't believe myself

"And so the lion fell in love with the lamb..." he murmured.
I looked away, hiding my eyes as I thrilled to the word.
"What a stupid lamb," I sighed.
"What a sick ,masochistic lion."

i wasn't actually particularly thrilled when twilight came out in the movies
one. because i've never read twilight or others in the series before
two. i hate novels. the perfect settings make me real jealous and sad. dude most of those things dont happen in my life.
three. uh, vampires?

but
finally i decided to watch the movie
during the flight from hong kong to london
oh i loved it
but i wasn't satisfied because the screen was so tiny and bad quality.

so
i decided to watch it again last friday, dvd
ohhhh i loved it even more

and saturaday
the boarding house was playing it
so i went to see
just my favourite parts
ohhhh THAT SCENE & EDWARD CULLEN.

i mean. edward cullen the character itself is amazing (but remember, it's fiction)
robert pattison, not so much. he does look like a vampire somehow thou
and the scene
where they played bella's lullaby,
the scene where they were up the top of the trees just chatting
and the camera was surrounding them
the whole picture was beautiful.

so
im on to reading new moon
i have to confess i haven't read fiction books for a while
the last time i touched one is emma by jane austen: a week ago
but i only read the first 2 pages and kissed goodbye
the last time i finished one is the curious incident of the dog in the night time: 8 months ago i estimate. hah
but the curious incident of the dog in the night time was good. go read.

new moon is going pretty good so far, i'm up to the start of chapter 4

i'm surprised i'm reading such a thick book
about vampires

but now i do realize my choice of books is towards the quirkness
the main character has to be quirky slash weird slash abnormal.
the boy in the curious incident of the dog in the night time had autism
edward cullen, obviously is a vampire in love with human

london

after 2 weeks
my brain is still very inspired by people in london

i think i did mention earlier in my blog about this sales in lush in camden market
he had green hair and tortoise glasses and eyebrow piercing.
i was especially amused by the glasses

i want them bad
black is getting really boring - sign-
tortoise or transparent i think
they seem funky, low case funky

the indie side of melbourne city

today i went to the melbourne city
and decided to go somewhere different
because before i arrived
i was like, gosh, i cant keep going to the places can i?!
so i went to the non-main streets
not exactly alleys
but the little streets you dont really notice if you're in a hurry

and i saw something so much underrated
the thrift shops
stores by independent designers
stores with imported sneakers (not the ones you see in foot locker)
stores with jap brands

a little cafe with waffles
and crepes

so much to see.

oh oh
i found these headphones im planning to get next time i go back
by WeSC.
determined to own them
they are soo cute

:)

and im going to take nicole there and have crepes and chat the whole day next time

ohhhhh damn i love that place.

dreams with you

i had alot of dreams
i imagined us painting your wall
lying on a beach with a cozy blanket and indie music
kissing in the rain :)
you on the stage playing drums on my favourite song
driving a truck without a destination.

i dream, when we grow up,
you do the interior design for our house.
take good pictures of us and put them up on the wall
;
when i wake up the first thing i see is you
oh dear.

i had alot of dreams with them
crazy night in a hotel room-
hippie van ; booze & music.
travel world.
skydive.

oh dreams.

a round of applause

''When we're sad, everyone tells you: time makes it all better. But no one tells us how much longer it will take.''
By Sarah her blog here

they tell us time makes it all better so it seems that they've done something about it
they said they have tried to comfort us but we are too stubborn to listen
so they willl seem like some good old nice folks
and we will seem like miserable airheads

what you're telling me is useless
why don't you just shut the fuck up
or actually do something about it
if you cant
then get out of the way.

STUDSs

so. i tried to diy everything with studs , since the start of last year
and funny and proud to say, i wasn't inspired by any collection labels runway icon whatsoever
i couldn't care less at that time
i saw ''raw'' studs on ebay and ordered them
and the first masterpiece was my schoolbag.

i felt cool when i was carrying the bag to school.

i stopped for a while, busy being with my friends etc;; currently generating ideas

this is a topshop- plan: my mom got an exact same shape plain silver one, free gift from a magazine. and now i'm going to do something about it :)

i thought about putting some studs on my black jeans few weeks ago. but then i didn't want to end up like i own some cheap punk pants. (not that i have a problem with punk, but some people really do make punk look cheap) hmmm...

follow up

the reason i post wallace and gromit --
so during my flight from london back to hong kong
i watched about 5 movies

australia: feels like it's giving me another revision on stolen generations. i think the story is not very well developed. and the atmosphere is not like effective enough. but seriously maybe it's because that i was sittting on an econmy class seat in a plane with a small little screen. the costume was good. nicole kidman looks so fine- great inspiration.
changeling: it's very good. i love it. stunning and impressive. i dont find it a clique at all. angelinas acting was so good. the mood was right on. - thumbsup-
four holidays: expect this to be a simple rom com. i felt like watching this after the changeling. obviously i needed some happy pill. very warming for christmas but i still prefer the holiday from last year? last last year?
yes man: it's okay i guess. i was actullay more fascinated by zooey deschanel as a carefree indie girl instead of jim carey trying to revive his lame life by saying yes to everything.
wallace and gromit: i decided to watch this because of a childhood thing. my parents got me this tape of wallace and gromit about sheeps i think. i was just so amused. the art within plastacin. i went to the science museum in london last week and i saw a model of the actual shooting, the actual height of wallace is actually similar to a barbie doll. gosh i have so much to talk about this movie.

i hope you will read this by chance

this afternoon, i had a sudden flashback

me: i'm spending 40% of my time missing you.
l: only 40%?
me: uhhhhh, no. 80%.
l: only 80?
me: well because i'm doing other things as well.
l: well i'm spending all my time missing you.

i smiled so bright.
i know why now
people told me i should do something about it
people told me we looked better
people told me everything i wanted to hear
but so what.

T O P S H O P

it's quite special being here in london (visiting topshop first time in my life! oh poor hong kong doesnt have topshop ) and knowing about the new york launch.
the store in oxford street is truly amazing.
the designs are great
the shoes
the clutches
the topman
the kate moss
the petite -SCREAM!-
unfortunately the day i was there i wasn't really in a good shopping mood.
turns out i walked out of the store with empty hands. -sign-
still
it was a fun experience, love the store xx

now now sneak peak of topshop magazine :)
dear dear i adore the photography

last year i had an idea about moving to a new life
a new house.
so i can decorate all i ever wanted
live my life
ah, the lack of excitement in life
the routine

it's ironic
only when i came to this new school
i realize how hectic my life was in hong kong
the traffic the crowd the shops the mtr the kcr
none of that in a little suburb whatsoever called burwood
we got used to what we have
it's like when a rich man got all his desires fulfilled but he is never satisfied.

perheps we can be a little more gently kind to our current life
the half full and half empty cup of water

i hate what i realize the importance of things only when i lose them
all you are left with is regret

i said to willy

so the story starts with willy telling me he's planning to have another haircut
because the previous one he had, was bad.
i hate that hairdresser to be honest
since then willy's hair looks shaggy - ewy.
so anyway
i told him not to
even his hair looks awful.
''just let it grow first, there is no art to be create in your hair.''
i started laughing. because seriously there could be possibly 1000+ nice possibilities in his awful shaggy hair
but still i guess those possibilities will not make him happy
so
just let it grow.

and look what i just found. this is cute,
'colour-in dress' by Berber Soepboer & Michiel Schuurma.

i was quite shocked.

i told my daddy i wanted a DSLR.
and he said okay right away.
i was quite shocked
because normally
it takes him a bit of time to think whether he should buy or not
for expensive stuff
this time he said yes too fast it feels weird.

me and balmain / balmain and i

so there are two things going on

a) me going back to hong kong. it's v.hard to tell whether im excited or not because there has been alot going on and alot to be done and said in hong kong.

b) the balmain jac. i have a feeling the padded shoulder thing going to be quite hectic when it gets colder . from printing the same outfit in all magazines to appearing the simlar jacket on real people, it's called foreshawdowing. oh oh so military is coming back? HA i knew it's the right thing to get combat sort of boots.
